On Sunday November 1, 2026 Gianluca’s father, Vittorio will be running the streets of the most famous race in all the world – The New York City Marathon! In addition to running for Strides 4 Gianluca and CP awareness this race will also be dedicated to Vittorio’s father and Gianluca’s Nonno (grandfather) Nicola. Nicola lost his battle to cancer on January 13, 2026. Gianluca, Vittorio & Nicola’s connection was very strong. This race is not just for cerebral palsy awareness but for the memory of Nicola, the love he shared for Gianluca and his family. That love and connection is shown in our blue and green ribbon. The green is for cerebral palsy awareness and the blue is for mesothelioma awareness. Vittorio will be conquering 26.2 miles and 5 boroughs for cerebral palsy & cancer warriors everywhere.
